Be yourself.
Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
Went to a Christian women’s retreat this past week and was reminded of this phrase yet again. (Going back next year and would totally recommend it if you’re curious.)
So many phrases came to me about this aspect of being your authentic self.
God knows you’re doing your best. So work hard every day and God will provide. One thing you can and should do: Rest in the fact that God knows. Listen to what He’s telling your head & heart. Embrace the silence to learn about your next step. One step - one day at a time. What is the next right step?
Wherever you are on your journey there’s something bigger waiting for you around the next bend.
You have a choice every day:
1) To trust God and wait and grow or
2) choose to hide.
If you choose to hide, you can’t get any better. And yes, that means physically, spiritually, and emotionally, too. You must choose to grow. It will change everything. Don’t give up on yourself. Just because you got more than 3 no’s to when you shared your ideas to someone new. Never give up on your passion & dreams. NEVER. EVER. EVER. You can do it! Listen. Believe. Your miracle will come. It might just take a little bit longer. Sometimes answers come and things happen in ways you least expect them to.
Random Bible fact: did you know the children of Israel wandering in the wilderness for 40 years was a journey that only takes 11 days?
Dream bigger.
Your obedience to listening to God’s voice (even in the smallest decisions) will be rewarded. Get as close to God as you can. Pay attention to what God is doing inside of you. Remember - when we have more time to wait - it gives God the most glory. It’s not something that man can do. If God can see the deepest part of the sea, He can see into your heart. He often doesn’t change our circumstances - He changes us!
Steadfast(ness) - it means waiting on the Lord and His timing to find your answers.
Blessing - the Oxford dictionary defines it as God's favor and protection.
May blessings come your way and Heaven come to fight for you this week. And remember - when you don’t know what to do - God does.
